To say I don't like arrogant or pretentious people would be an understatement, so I'll just say I'm happy to understate things in order to make a statement. I'm spontaneous, like to play sports and can count on one hand the amount of friends I have left after recently downsizing. If I were to say I'm popular but don't have friends, but rather acquaintances, it probably wouldn't make a lot of sense. But that's just me.....I rarely make sense and I'm more the exception to the rule in most cases – something of an outlier, of sorts. I laugh a lot and sometimes I laugh at inappropriate times, and at times my humour is largely misunderstood. It's something I'm working on and I think the fact I no longer laugh at funerals speaks volumes in terms of just how far I've progressed. The mobile phone I own doesn't own me and so therefore I think it might be fair to say that I am a person who likes the simple things in life, such as walking along the beach, doing nature walks, going on long drives etc; so when I do these things I do them sans mobile phone. I'm very good with technology and am not averse to it in any way, I just enjoy things a lot more when I'm not distracted by technology to the point where I miss out on the beauty before me and, when I do see it...it's through a lens and not through my own eyes. I don't like small talk and I'm a bit of a snob, even though I have no right to be, and have little time for loud, obnoxious people, or scumbags for want of a better word. All in all, I'm a kind, considerate person who always listens to others and tries to see things from their point of view. If I had friends, you could ask them and I'm sure they'd agree with what I've said of myself. And last, but not least, I love animals. I only have one cat but if I had the room I'd likely take in every stray animal within a 50km radius of where I live. Don't get me wrong...I have nothing against my fellow human beings, per se, it's just that I've come to realise that animals ask far less and yet give so much more. P.S. I actually turned 55 in early 2024 but there was an error on my profile and I can't change it now without jumping through hoops.
